Tis the season for comfort food. With the changing season comes changing seasonal menus, and what’s better than a Fall menu filled with pumpkin and comfort?! We went to Seasons 52, located at Crabtree Valley Mall, to try out their new Harvest Menu. For this menu you get to choose from four starters, five entrees, and seven Mini Indulgence desserts for just $29.95. Seeing as Filet Mignon, Salmon, and Lamb Shank are three of the entrée options, I’d say this is a deal that can’t be beat.
I’m a big soup person, so for my starter I decided to go with the Butternut Squash Soup, which was served with a bread stick. The soup was sweet, yet savory and incredibly comforting. My fiancé went with the Spinach and Caramelized Bosc Pear Salad, which was huge! It was so colorful and fresh, and I honestly probably could have eaten it as an entrée.
For an entree, I went with the Cedar Plank-Roasted Salmon, which was served with roasted vegetables and a dill mustard sauce. The Salmon was so light, yet so flavorful. I loved the dill mustard sauce, and the side of vegetables kept the dish nice and light. My fiancé on the other hand, got the Short Rib Lasagna. The serving size was giant, but together we managed to eat it all. The lasagna was the epitome of autumn and comfort food, and tasted pretty delicious as well. It was made with a beef Bolognese sauce, and then topped with Short Rib. While the salmon was delicious, I feel like the lasagna was the star of the show! The other options available for the entrée included Lamb Shank, Venison Chop, and Filet Mignon.
Next up was the best part: dessert. If you’ve been to Seasons 52, I’m sure you know about the Mini Indulgence Desserts. But if not, Seasons 52 offers a variety of desserts served in a shot-glass type glass. They are all amazing, but featured on the Harvest Menu currently are the Pumpkin Pie and the Poached Pear Cheesecake Mini Indulgences. You can get any of the available choices with the Harvest Menu, but if you’re trying to stick to those fall flavors I would definitely recommend either of these! I think my personal favorites (although it was hard to choose) were the Pumpkin Pie, S’mores, and Pecan Pie.
We left Seasons 52 feeling thoroughly stuffed and satisfied. The Harvest menu offered such great variety, from something light, like my salmon, to something a lot more warm and comforting like the lasagna, everyone can find something they’re in the mood for. Plus, for $29.95 for a three-course meal, the deal can’t be beat! Make sure to head in to Seasons 52 to try your own delicious meal from the Harvest Menu this Fall!
